Life has a way of bringing people together through hardship. Chris and Dee, married with two children living life certain yet unsure of continuing to be together. They were favored to have another child who was diagnosed during gestation with a rare disease. It required her to have seven specialists. The doctors requested twice to have her terminated during pregnancy, stating she would have a low quality of life. The parents assertively rejected their request and carried on.

 

During gestation they fasted and prayed believing YHWH would heal her before she was born. Those prayers would not be answered. Kennedy was born June 9, almost nine pounds with a full head of hair. She was not and eye sore as they said she would be. She was surprisingly beautiful. The condition of the diagnosis was there, but YHWH had great plans. She lived in and out of the hospital from fall to spring, summers she was hospital free. Husband traveled, mom stayed home with three children close in age. There was medical equipment throughout the house, Kennedy had seizures that medicine couldn’t tame, with young children who made lots of noise. A juggling act indeed.The dynamic forced Chris and Dee to take their eyes off each other and focus elsewhere.

 

During Kennedy’s life span they truly bonded through the trauma and rigors of her condition. Cj and KiKi understood how to play with, love, and engage with someone who was truly special. She was handicapped and there was no difference between them. Chris and Dee learned the true definition of faith. It is YHWH’s thoughts, will, and intentions, and that is what is to be followed, not our own. HIS great plan was to favor us with one of HIS precious ones, to care for her, while learning lessons at each juncture, following the Spirit of Truth. Through this experience YAH taught us things of the earth and how they function, which birthed Naturalholic.  Kennedy was a catalyst, unfolding a purpose designed by YHWH.

 

She lived seizure free the last two years of her life. She died at home in her sleep peacefully holding her mother’s hand. Kennedy left this earth with rays of light beaming on her body (literally) three days shy of her seventh birthday. YAH’s ways are not our ways. HE chose to heal her on that side of heaven. We love HIM more for giving us such a gift and showing us how to live this life following HIS Spirit.And they live happily ever after…
